Models with four-cylinder engine
Application: The CKP sensor is located on the front side of the engine - on the timing chain cover next to the crankshaft pulley/damper.
1. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery (see paragraph 1 of chapter 5).
2. Disconnect the electrical connector (Fig. 5.2).
Fig. 5.2. On four-cylinder engines, the CKP sensor electrical connector is located to the right of the exhaust manifold, next to the generator
3. Raise the front of the vehicle and place secure supports underneath it.
4. Unscrew the bolt (Fig. 5.4) and remove the sensor.
Fig. 5.4. To disconnect the CKP sensor from the timing chain cover on a four-cylinder engine, unscrew this bolt
5. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
Models with VG engine
6. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery (see paragraph 1 of chapter 5).
7. Disconnect the electrical connector of the CKP sensor (Fig. 5.7).
Fig. 5.7. To remove the CKP sensor from the VG engine, press the locking tab (1) and disconnect the electrical connector of the sensor, then check the sensor mounting bolt (2)
8. Unscrew the bolt and remove the sensor.
