Attention! Remove the radiator and expansion tank on a cold engine.
Attention! Do not allow coolant to come into contact with clothing or body paintwork. Otherwise, rinse the surface with plenty of water.
Attention! Collect and dispose of the drained coolant.
Radiator replacement
Turn off the ignition and disconnect the wire «masses» from the battery.
Drain the coolant.
On cars manufactured before 2001, remove the bolts securing the air conditioning condenser fan casing and tilt it away from the radiator.
On vehicles produced since 2001, remove the grille, protective panel and hood latch.
Disconnect the upper and lower cooling system hoses from the radiator.
Disconnect the hose from the radiator connecting it to the expansion tank.
Remove radiator fans.

Turn out bolts of fastening of a radiator to the forward cross panel (pic. 4.10, 4.11).
Raise the radiator and remove it from the vehicle.
If the radiator is removed due to a reduction in capacity, flush it with water in both directions and blow it out with compressed air.
If the radiator is leaking, do not attempt to weld or solder the leak, as this will damage the plastic parts of the radiator.
Minor radiator leaks can be repaired with radiator sealant.
Check the condition of the lower rubber radiator mounts and replace if necessary.
Install the radiator in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following.
Fill with coolant.
On vehicles with automatic transmission, check the oil level in the transmission.
Start the engine and check for leaks.
Expansion tank replacement
On most models, removing the tank is very easy: just pull it out of the fender bracket.
Drain coolant from reservoir. Rinse the tank and inspect it for cracks and abrasions. Replace expansion tank if damaged.
Install the expansion tank in the reverse order of removal.
