Control node replacement
Warning! Cars are equipped with security systems (SRS), including airbags and seat belt tensioners. Before carrying out work near the shock sensors, the instrument panel and the steering column, first disconnect the negative and then the positive terminals from the battery and wait 2 minutes. This will prevent the airbags from deploying unintentionally and the seat belt pretensioners from deploying, which could cause injury.
Turn off the ignition and disconnect the wire «masses» from the battery.
Remove the central overlay of the panel of devices.
On cars of release till 2001 remove a ware box and the bottom central overlay of the panel of devices. Remove the control knobs and the heating and air conditioning control panel.
On vehicles manufactured since 2001, remove the radio and lower left panel from the center console.
Disconnect the control cables from the levers and the cable sheath from the clips on the heating and air conditioning control unit.

Remove the screws located on the front side of the control unit (pic. 4.22, 4.23).
Remove the heating and air conditioning control unit from the instrument panel along with the wires and cables connected to it.
Install in the reverse order of removal.
Start the engine and check the functioning of the heating and air conditioning systems.
Adjustment of control cables on cars manufactured before 2001
To adjust the air intake control cable, move the control lever to the RECIRC position, connect the cable, and secure the cable sheath with a clip.
To adjust the interior air temperature control cable, move the control lever to the COOL position, connect the cable, and secure the cable sheath with a clip.
To adjust the air distribution control cable, place the control lever in the DEF position, connect the cable, and secure the cable sheath with a clamp.
Adjustment of control cables on vehicles manufactured since 2001
To adjust the interior air temperature control cable, move the control lever to the MAX COOL position, connect the cable, and secure the cable sheath with a clip.
To adjust the air distribution control cable, move the control lever all the way towards the rear of the vehicle. Connect the cable to the lever and secure the cable sheath with a clamp.
