Ignition module (1996 and 1997 models with gasoline engines)
Note: On models produced since 1998, the ignition module and ignition coil are combined into one unit.
Removal
1. Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal.
2. Disconnect the wiring connector from the ignition module.
3. Loosen the ignition module mounting bolts (see Figure 8.3).

4. Remove the ignition module from the engine compartment.
Installation
5. Install the ignition module in the reverse order of its removal.
