Attention! On vehicles equipped with an airbag, steering wheel rotation after removal of the mechanism is not allowed in order to avoid damage to the airbag. Secure the steering wheel by wearing the seat belt and securing it with the buckle.
1. Set the steering wheel to the straight ahead position, raise the front of the car.
2. Disconnect the tie rod ends from the knuckles.
3. Turn away 10 bolts and remove the bottom guard of the engine.
4. Remove the stabilizer.
5. Mark the position of the intermediate shaft and unscrew the coupling bolt of the universal joint spline (the arrows indicate the bolts of the hinge coupling and pipe union).
6. Disconnect the power steering tubes from the steering gear.
7. Unscrew the nut and bolt on the right side of the mechanism, the nut and through bolt on the other side (the arrows indicate the nuts and bolts of the steering gear to the frame).
8. Remove the steering gear.
9. If the steering shaft is accidentally turned, remove the steering wheel and center the airbag wire coil.
10. Further assembly is carried out in the reverse order.
11. Tighten the bolts and nuts to the specified torque and bleed the air from the hydraulic booster.
