Pedal Height
1. Check the distance of the pedal pads from the floor. If this distance differs from the norm, then adjust.
2. To adjust the clutch pedal, loosen the locknut of the adjusting bolt or switch (A), loosen the stem locknut (IN). Turn the stem to adjust the distance so that it corresponds to the middle of the range. Tighten the stem locknut.
3. To check the brake pedal height, start the engine and depress the pedal several times, then check the pedal height. To adjust, loosen the locknut of the adjusting bolt or switch (A), loosen the stem locknut (IN). Turn the stem to adjust the distance so that it corresponds to the middle of the range. Tighten the stem locknut.
4. Turn the switch or limiter bolt clockwise until it contacts the pedal pad. Tighten locknut.
Pedal free play
1. Press the pedal with your finger and measure the distance until you feel a slight resistance to movement.
2. If you need to adjust the clutch pedal free play, loosen the stem locknut and move the stem until the free play is correct. Tighten locknut.
3. To adjust the free play of the brake pedal with the engine stopped, press the pedal 10–12 times, then check the stroke. Loosen the stem jam nut and move the stem until the free play is correct. Tighten locknut.
