Removal
1. Disconnect the battery from ground.
2. Remove the transmission.

3. Remove the spring, take out the clutch release fork, and take the release bearing out of the fork.
Examination

Hold the outer race and check the bearing for free rotation. The bearing should rotate freely in the race. If not, replace the bearing. Do not wash the bearing in solvent.
Installation

1. Lubricate the inner bearing groove, the splines of the input shaft and the front bearing holder of the transmission input shaft with high-melting grease.

2. Lubricate the recess under the ball joint with high-melting grease.

3. Lubricate the bearing mounting points and the recess for the working cylinder pusher with high-melting grease. Install the spring clip.
4. Install the bearing on the fork.
5. Place the bearing on the primary shaft of the gearbox. Pass the fork through the boot and place the fork on the support, pressing it until it clicks.
6. Lightly lubricate the bearing surface that contacts the diaphragm spring with high-temperature grease.
7. Then assembly is carried out in reverse order.
