1. Raise the rear of the car as well.

2. Mark the relative positions of the flanges of the cardan shaft and the drive gear of the gearbox.

3. While holding the bolts, unscrew the four rear shaft flange mounting nuts.

4. Disconnect the propeller shaft from the rear flange. Remove the shaft from the transmission or transfer case, or unscrew the bolts securing the joint to the transfer case flange.
5. On rear wheel drive vehicles, plug the hole in the gearbox.
6. Installation is performed in the reverse order. Align the marks made during disassembly and tighten the nuts to the specified torque.
Front shaft
7. Remove the front shaft protective cover.
8. Mark the relative positions of the gearbox flanges, transfer case and cardan joints.
9. While holding the bolts, loosen the shaft mounting nuts and remove the shaft.
10.Installation is performed in the reverse order. Align the marks made during disassembly and tighten the nuts to the specified torque. First, secure the shaft to the front gearbox, tightening the nuts by hand, and then to the transfer case. Tighten the bolts and nuts to the specified torque.
