2. To maintain dynamic balance during assembly, mark the relative positions of the cardan shaft forks and the flanges of the drive gear of the gearbox.
3. Also mark the relative position of the sliding clutch fork relative to the shaft.
4. Loosen the nuts of the cardan shaft mounting bolts on the transfer case and gearbox side.
5. After disconnecting the cardan shaft, check the condition of the joints by shaking them sideways and longitudinally. If any play is detected, replace the joints.
6. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
7. Align the marks made during disassembly and tighten the fasteners to the specified torque.
