Cardan shaft: 1 - boot, 2 - front propeller shaft, 3 - plate washer, 4 - plate washer, 5 - center support bearing, 6 - rear propeller shaft flange, 7 - washer, 8 - rear propeller shaft
Attention: when installing the cardan shaft in a vise, use soft pads so as not to deform the pipe.
1 Loosen the coupler bolts.
- A) Press the brake pedal and hold it.
- b) Using a socket wrench, loosen the bolts 1/2 turn.
- V) Loosen the two center support bearing bolts.
2. Disconnect the driveshaft from the rear differential.
- A) Put alignment marks on the connecting flanges.
- b) Remove four bolts, washers and nuts.
3. Disconnect the cardan shaft from the gearbox.
- A) Loosen the two bolts and remove the center support bearing.
- b) Disconnect the front driveshaft flange from the gearbox.
- V) Insert a plug into the gearbox to prevent oil leakage.
4. Disconnect the front propeller shaft from the rear propeller shaft.
- A) Put alignment marks on the coupling and flange.
Note: Do not damage the surface of the parts when applying alignment marks.
- b) Using a socket wrench, remove the six bolts and three washers and separate the front driveshaft from the rear driveshaft.
