2. The wipers can accumulate a film of road dirt, which affects their effectiveness. Therefore, they should be washed regularly with a mild detergent.
3. The operation of the windshield wiper mechanism may cause bolts, nuts and other fastening elements to loosen, so they should be checked and tightened if necessary. At the same time, check the windshield wiper blades.
4. If the brushes are cracked, worn or deformed, or simply do not clean the glass effectively enough, they should be replaced with new ones.
5. Lift the arm off the glass, press the locking clip and then remove the blade with the hook on the end of the arm (fig. 9.5, a, b).
