Caution: If the vehicle is equipped with electronically controlled air suspension, turn off the ride height control switch.

1. Tires should be rotated at the prescribed intervals and when uneven wear is observed. Since you still have to lift the car and remove the wheel, check the brakes at the same time (see paragraph 12).

2. Radial tires should be rotated in a specific order (fig. 8.2, a, b).

Fig. 8.2, a. The order of rearrangement of four wheels with radial tires

Fig. 8.2, b. The order of wheel rearrangement taking into account the dependent wheel (should only be used if the tire on the dependent wheel is the same size as the other four)

3. For a description of the correct procedure for raising the vehicle and changing tires, refer to the information provided in paragraph "Lifting and towing a car" at the beginning of this manual. If you intend to test the brakes at the same time, do not apply the parking brake as directed. Place wheel chocks under the wheels to prevent the vehicle from rolling.

4. It is preferable to lift the entire vehicle at the same time. This can be done with a lifting device or by jacking up each corner and then lowering it onto the stands installed under the side members. Be sure to use four stands and make sure that the supports under the vehicle are secure and that the vehicle is stable.

5. After rotating the wheels, check and, if necessary, adjust the tire pressure and check that the wheel nuts are tightly tightened.

6. For more information on wheels and tires, please refer to chapter 10.
