1. Remove the engine assembly with the gearbox in the block with the drive axle with the transfer case attached to them (see chapter 2B).
2. Remove the engine cross support bracket from the transfer case and engine.
3. Remove the bolts and nuts securing the transfer case.
4. Separate the transfer case from the engine and gearbox assembly.
5. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
