Inspect the outer surface of the air filter. If it is dirty, replace the filter. If there is a slight dust deposit on it, blow the filter with compressed air from the inside out and reuse the air filter. Since the air filter is made of paper, it cannot be washed. If cleaning with compressed air does not produce positive results, replace the filter.
Caution! Never operate your vehicle without an air filter, as dust entering the cylinders along with the air will cause accelerated engine wear.
Wipe the inside of the air filter housing and cover.
Install the air filter.
Install the air cleaner cover and secure it with the spring clips.
