Carefully inspect the radiator and coolant hoses along their entire length. Replace hoses with cracks, breaks or signs of aging. Cracks are easier to detect if you pinch the hose. Pay special attention to the clamps securing the hoses to the cooling system components. Overtightened clamps can cause the hose to rupture or puncture, resulting in leaks in the cooling system. Inspect all hoses and their connection points. If leaks are found, replace them or the associated gaskets.
On vehicles with automatic transmission, check the condition of the transmission oil heat exchanger hoses.
