Warning! Gasoline is extremely flammable, when working with fuel system components, smoking, the use of fire, sparking devices, open fire hazardous light devices is prohibited. Avoid sparks when handling wires and electrical devices.
Warning! Since gasoline is a carcinogen, avoid getting it on your body and car paintwork. In this case, immediately wash the affected area with soap and water.
Attention! The fuel system is pressurized and the fuel system must be depressurized before disconnecting the lines.
If you smell gasoline, inspect the fuel system immediately.
Open the fuel filler cap and inspect it for damage or corrosion. The cover gasket must be elastic and not damaged, otherwise replace it.
Inspect the fuel supply and return hoses for cracks or damage. Replace if damaged.
Check the tightness of the connecting nuts that fasten the pipelines to the fuel distribution line and the fuel filter.

Raise the vehicle on a lift to inspect the fuel tank and the fuel pipes connected to it. Pay special attention to the hose connecting the fuel tank and the fuel filler neck (pic. 2.23).
Never repair the fuel tank yourself. When using a welding torch or an open flame, fuel vapors accumulated in the tank may explode.
