Examination
1. Disconnect connector (The sensor is located on the throttle body) and check for 5V between pins 2 (–) and 1 (+) with the ignition on. The numbers indicate the pins of the connector.
2. Connect the connector and check for voltage between pins 2 (–) and 3 (+) by connecting the voltmeter probes to the back of the terminals. With the ignition on, the voltage should change from 0.5 V with the throttle closed to 4.5 V with the throttle fully open. Otherwise, replace the sensor.
Replacement
1. Switch off the ignition.
2. Disconnect the connector, unscrew the screws (indicated by arrows) and remove the sensor.
