Checking the fuel system on a car [Toyota Duet M100]

1. Using a phonendoscope, check the operation of the injectors at an engine speed of about 3000 rpm.

The sound of the injector operation should be clear and not differ from the operation of other injectors.





2. (EJ-DE) Check the fuel pressure.

a) Install a pressure gauge between the fuel rail and the main fuel hose.

b) Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position.

c) Check the fuel pressure.

• Nominal pressure - 294±5 kPa

If the pressure is not within the nominal value, check the fuel pump.



3. (EJ-VE, KZ series) Check the operation of the fuel pump.



a) Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position.

b) Using a special device, short-circuit the terminals "T" - "E" ("5" -"13") diagnostic connector and make sure the fuel pump is working.

c) Turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position.

4. Disconnect the fuel pump connector and measure the resistance between the terminals of the fuel pump.

• Nominal resistance - 0.2-3.0 Ohm
