Relieve pressure in the fuel system.
Turn off the ignition and disconnect the ground wire from the battery.
For models prior to 2001, proceed as follows:
- remove the cylinder head cover;
- remove the throttle assembly;

- release the 2 clamps and disconnect the wiring harness from the intake manifold (figure 5.28);
- disconnect the 4 electrical connectors from the injectors;
- remove the protective plate from the right side of the intake manifold;
- remove the EGR valve and pipe;
- unscrew the hollow bolt from the top of the fuel filter and disconnect the fuel hose from it;
- disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose from the intake manifold;
- disconnect the fuel lines from the fuel distribution line;

- unscrew the bolts and remove the fuel distribution line together with the injectors (figure 5.29);

- remove the injectors from the fuel distribution line by pulling and turning at the same time (figure 5.30);
- if the injectors are to be reinstalled, replace their sealing rings;
For models from 2001 onwards, proceed as follows:
- remove the air filter housing;
- disconnect the hose from the positive crankcase ventilation valve;

- disconnect the fuel lines from the fuel distribution line (figure 5.31);

- unscrew the fuel line mounting bolts (figure 5.32);
- remove the fuel distribution line together with the injectors;

- remove the injectors from the fuel distribution line by pulling and turning at the same time (figure 5.33);
- if the injectors are to be reinstalled, replace the O-rings on them.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
