Examination
Perform injection system checks (see subsection 5.2.9.1).
Replacement
1. Perform decompression.
2. Disconnect the battery from the ground.
3. Disconnect the crankcase ventilation hose from the cylinder head and intake manifold.
4. Remove equalizing chamber (see subsection 5.2.9.2.6).
5. Place a clearly visible mark on each injector connector. Disconnect the connectors from the injectors and take the wiring to the side.
6. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the fuel distributor.
7. Disconnect the fuel hoses from the pressure regulator and distributor.
8. Loosen the fuel distributor mounting bolts (indicated by arrows).
9. Remove the fuel distributor with injectors.
10. Remove the nozzles from the distributor and put them in a box with an individual label.
11. If the nozzles will not change, then replace the rings and seals. Remove the ring from the injector.
12. Remove the seals and remove the rings from the holes in the intake manifold.
13. The nozzles are installed in the reverse order.
14. Tighten the fuel distributor mounting bolts to the specified torque.
Starting nozzle (1988-92)
Examination
1. Disconnect the connector.
2. Check the resistance between the terminals and compare with the standard.
3. If the resistance is correct, then the injector is working, check the injector relay.
4. If resistance differs from norm replace atomizer.
5. Connect the connector.
Removing
1. Decompress and disconnect battery from ground.
2. Disconnect the injector connector.
3. Substitute the pallet and unscrew the fitting.
4. Turn away nuts and remove a nozzle with a laying.
5. Check the nozzle torch on the stand (carried out in a car service).
6. Install the nozzle in reverse order.
Starter injector relay (1988-92)
Examination
1. Check relay resistance (located next to the thermostat).
2. At temperatures below 15°C, the resistance should be 30-50 ohms.
3. Warm up the engine. At temperatures above 30°C, the resistance should be 70-90 ohms.
4. Resistance between STA pin (with black/red wire) should be 30-90 ohms.
Replacement
1. Drain the liquid.
2. Unscrew the relay with a tubular socket wrench.
3. Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
