Check up smoothness and uniformity of turn throttle.
Remove the air intake duct from the throttle body and check the inside of the throttle body for soot deposits and other debris, especially around the throttle body. If there is dirt, remove it with an aerosol carburettor cleaner and a toothbrush. Make sure that the aerosol cleaner will not damage the oxygen sensor and catalytic converter beforehand.
Attention! Do not clean the throttle position sensor (TPS) and idle speed control valve (IAC)
Remove the throttle assembly on a cold engine as follows:
Turn off the ignition and disconnect the wire «masses» from the battery.
Loosen the clamps and remove the air intake pipe.
Disconnect the accelerator cable from the throttle control lever.
On pre-2001 models with automatic transmission, disconnect the control cable from the throttle lever.

Mark and disconnect vacuum hoses and hoses of the cooling system from the throttle assembly (pic. 5.24).
Close the cooling system hoses with plastic plugs to prevent coolant leakage.
Disconnect the electrical connector from the throttle position sensor (TPS).

Turn out bolts of fastening of a throttle knot (pic. 5.25, 5.26).
Remove the throttle body and gasket from the intake manifold.
Engine installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:
When installing the throttle assembly, use a new gasket.
Check the level and add coolant if necessary.
