2. Remove the cover and remove the filter element (pic. 15.2).

3. Inspect the outer surface of the filter element. If it is dirty, replace it. If it is only moderately dusty, it can be reused, but blow it from the back towards the face with compressed air.
Attention! Always wear eye protection when working with compressed air.
Since the filter element is made of pleated paper, it must not be washed or used with oil. If it cannot be satisfactorily cleaned with compressed air, discard it and replace it with a new one.
Warning. Never operate the vehicle with the air filter removed. This can lead to increased engine wear, and a backfire can cause a fire under the hood.
4. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Make sure that the tabs on the cover hinge properly engage with the bottom of the case.
