Replace the crankshaft angle sensor (CKP) on a cold engine as follows:
- turn off the ignition and disconnect the ground wire from the battery;
- remove the lower engine compartment protection;

- on pre-2001 models, remove the timing belt cover to access the CKP sensor (figure 7.12, 7.13);
- disconnect the electrical connector from the CKP sensor;
- unscrew the bolt and remove the CKP sensor.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
