Removal



1. Remove the glove compartment door.

2. Remove the servo.


  • a) Disconnect the connector.
  • b) Unscrew the two screws and remove the drive.

Examination



1. Check the operation of the servo drive.


  • a) Connect the battery to terminals "6" (+) and "7" (-) of the connector. Check that the lever moves to the "COOL" position,
  • b) Change the polarity of the power supply, check that the lever moves to the "NOT" position.

2. Check the operation of the throttle control lever position sensor.
  • a) Measure the resistance between terminals "1" and "3". The resistance is about 6 kOhm.
  • b) Check that the resistance between terminals "3" and "5" changes from 4.8 kOhm to 1.2 kOhm when moving the lever from the "COOL" position to the "HOT" position.
