Checking components



1. Remove the fuel heater.



2. Checking the fuel heater.
  • a) Create a vacuum of 300 mmHg or more to the vacuum switch channel.
  • b) Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between terminal "1" and the switch body. Resistance at 20°C: 0.5-2.0 Ohm.



If the resistance is not within specifications, replace the fuel heater and vacuum switch.

3. Checking the conductivity of the vacuum circuit breaker.

A. Using an ohmmeter, check that there is no continuity between terminal "1" and the switch body.



If the conductivity is not within specifications, replace the fuel heater and vacuum switch.



B. Checking the operation of the switch.
  • a) Create a vacuum of 300 mmHg or more to the vacuum switch channel.
  • b) Using an ohmmeter, check that there is continuity between terminal "1" and the switch body.

If operation is not within specifications, replace fuel heater and vacuum switch.

4. Install the fuel heater. Tightening torque: 3 Nm.
