Component Check
1. Remove the fuel heater.
2. Checking the fuel heater.
- A) Create a vacuum of 300 mmHg. or more to the vacuum switch channel.
- b) Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the terminal "1" and switch housing. Resistance at 20°C: 0.5-2.0 Ohm.
If resistance is out of specification, replace fuel heater and vacuum switch.
3. Checking the conductivity of the vacuum circuit breaker.
A. Using an ohmmeter, check that there is no continuity between the terminal "1" and switch housing.
If conductivity is out of specification, replace fuel heater and vacuum switch.
B. Checking the operation of the switch.
- A) Create a vacuum of 300 mmHg. or more to the vacuum switch channel.
- b) Using an ohmmeter, check that there is continuity between the terminal "1" and switch housing.
If performance is out of specification, replace fuel heater and vacuum switch.
4. Install the fuel heater. Tightening torque: 3 Nm.
