Crankshaft seal
1. Remove the timing belt and crankshaft sprocket (see paragraph 7).
2. Mark for yourself how far the cuff is inserted into the mounting hole, and then cut off the edge of the cuff with a sharp knife.
3. Carefully remove the cuff using a screwdriver or suitable puller. When using a screwdriver, wrap the tip of the screwdriver with adhesive tape to avoid scratching the hole in the housing and damaging the crankshaft (if the shaft is damaged the new seal will leak).
4. Clean the mounting hole in the engine and apply engine oil or multipurpose grease to the outer edge of the new seal. Apply the same lubricant to the sealing lip.
5. Using a suitable mandrel or socket with an outer diameter slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the seal, use a hammer to carefully tap the new seal out of place. Do not skew when installing the cuff. Insert it should not be the depth marked during removal. Check the position of the cuff after installation to make sure that its spring does not protrude.
6. Install the toothed pulley on the crankshaft and put on the timing belt (see paragraph 8).
7. Start the engine and check for oil leakage through the front cuff.
Camshaft seals
8. Remove the timing belt and toothed pulley (s) camshaft (ov) (see paragraph 7).
9. Turn out bolts and disconnect a back cover of a timing belt.
10. Note for yourself how deep the cuff is inserted into the landing hole. Wrap the tip of the screwdriver with tape to avoid scratching the mounting hole and damaging the camshaft (if the shaft is damaged, the new seal will leak).
11. Clean the mounting hole and apply engine oil or multipurpose grease to the outer edge of the new seal. Apply the same lubricant to the sealing lip.
12. Using a suitable mandrel or socket with an outer diameter slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the seal, use a hammer to carefully press the new seal into place. Do not skew when installing the cuff. Insert it should not be the depth marked during removal.
13. Reinstall the rear timing belt cover and tighten the bolts.
14. Reinstall the toothed pulley (s) camshaft (ov) and put on the timing belt (see paragraph 7).
15. Start the engine and check it for oil leakage through the cuff (s) camshaft (ov).
