Checking the switch



1. Check the conductivity of the switch according to the table.



If the conductivity is not as described, replace the switch.

2. Checking the heater indicator lights.
  • a) Connect the battery to terminals "2" (+) and "6" (-) of the switch connector.
  • b) Set the switch to the "HI" position (strong heating) or "LO" (weak heating). Check that the indicator lamp lights on the pressed side of the switch. If the operation is not as described, replace the switch.

Checking the seat heater



1. Checking the seat cushion heater.
  • a) Heat 2 thermostats with an electric lamp. Check that terminals "1" and "2" do not conduct at temperatures above 45°C.

  • b) Cool the thermostats to below 25°C. Check for continuity between terminals "1" and "2".
  • c) Check for conductivity between terminals "1" and "3".

2. Checking the seat back heater.

Check for continuity between terminals "1" and "2".

If the conductivity is not as described, replace the heater.
