1. Check the door limit switches (see the relevant section).

2. Check the operation of the light warning relay.


  • a) Connect the battery to terminals "5" (+) and "1" (-) of the relay.
  • b) Connect a 3.4W test lamp between terminal "8" and the positive battery terminal.
  • c) Connect the batteries to terminal "3" or "4" of the relay and check that the indicator lamp lights. Disconnect the batteries from terminal "3" or "4" of the relay and check that the lamp goes out after about 5 seconds, as shown in the figure.



If the relay operation is different from what is specified, replace the relay.

3. Check the relay circuit (see Light Stay On Warning System).
