2. Set the first piston to top dead center.
3. Align the marks (recesses) on shafts with corresponding slots in the shaft casing.

4. Install the balancer on the block and insert the bolts. Tighten the bolts to the specified torque in the sequence shown.

5. Measure the end clearances of the shafts using a special measuring device. If the clearances exceed the maximum permissible limits, contact a specialist.

6. Measure the circumferential clearance of the N1 shaft gear in four different positions (1 – crankshaft gear, 2 – N1 shaft gear).

7. Align mark A on shaft N1 with the slot in the casing and measure the circumferential clearance (1 – upper half of the casing, 2 – shaft N1).

8. Align mark B on shaft N1 with the slot in the casing and measure the circumferential clearance.
9. If the shaft free play exceeds the permissible limits, adjust its value using adjusting shims.
