1. Clean the surfaces of the cylinder block and balancing device, install the gaskets.
2. Set the first piston to top dead center.
3. Align marks (grooves) on shafts with corresponding slots in the shaft casing.
4. Install the balancing device on the block and insert the bolts. Tighten the bolts to the correct torque in the sequence shown.
5. Measure the end clearances of the shafts with a special gauge. If the clearances exceed the maximum allowable limits, contact a specialist.
6. Measure the circumferential clearance of the N1 shaft gear in four different positions (1 - crankshaft gear, 2 - shaft gear N1).
7. Align the mark A of the shaft N1 with the slot in the casing and measure the circumferential clearance (1 - upper half of the casing, 2 - shaft N1).
8. Align mark B of shaft N1 with the slot in the casing and measure the circumferential clearance.
9. If the free play of the shaft exceeds the allowable limits, adjust its value using shims.
