Models with four-cylinder engine
Notes: The IAC valve is located on the underside of the throttle body.
1. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery (see paragraph 1 of chapter 5).
2. Remove the throttle body (see chapter 4).
3. Unscrew the screws (Fig. 17.8) and remove the valve.
4. Remove and discard the valve gasket.
5. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Use a new gasket and tighten the valve mounting screws securely.
Models with V6 engine
Notes: The IAC valve is located on the underside of the throttle body.
6. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery (see paragraph 1 of chapter 5).
7. Remove the throttle body (see chapter 4).
8. Remove the screws (Figure 17.8) and remove the valve. To disconnect the idling air valve (IAC) from the throttle body on a V6 engine model, remove the four screws. Remove and discard the IAC valve gasket. To avoid further leakage, always use a new gasket when installing the valve.

9. Remove and discard the valve gasket.
10. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Use a new gasket and tighten the valve mounting screws securely.
