Models with a four-cylinder engine
Notes. The IAC valve is located on the underside of the throttle body.
1. Disconnect the ground wire from the battery (see paragraph 1 of chapter 5).
2. Remove the throttle body (see chapter 4).
3. Remove the screws (pic. 17.8) and remove the valve.
4. Remove and discard valve gasket.
5. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Use a new gasket and securely tighten the valve mounting screws.
Models with V6 engine
Notes. The IAC valve is located on the underside of the throttle body.
6. Disconnect the ground wire from the battery (see paragraph 1 of chapter 5).
7. Remove the throttle body (see chapter 4).
8. Remove the screws (pic. 17.8) and remove the valve. To disconnect the idle air valve (IAC) Remove the four screws from the throttle body on a V6 model. Remove and discard the IAC valve gasket. Be sure to use a new gasket when installing the valve to prevent future leakage.

9. Remove and discard valve gasket.
10. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Use a new gasket and securely tighten the valve mounting screws.
