- remove the toothed belt and toothed belt pulley from the crankshaft;

- use a screwdriver blade to remove the O-ring from the socket (pic. 3.22). To facilitate removal of the O-ring, use a sharp knife to cut the working edge from the reinforced base around the entire perimeter of the O-ring (pic. 3.23). When removing, do not scratch the seat of the sealing ring and the crankshaft;

- Clean the O-ring seat and crankshaft journal. Lubricate the outer surface and the working edge of the sealing ring with engine oil;
- tubular mandrel, with an outer diameter slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the ring, install the sealing ring in place. Check that the ring is installed without distortion and at the same depth as the previously installed ring;
- install the pulley on the crankshaft and toothed belt;
- Start the engine and check the front crankshaft O-ring for leaks.
