Checking the crankshaft [Toyota Duet M100]

1. Check the crankshaft runout.

a) Place the crankshaft on the prisms.

b) Using a dial indicator, check the runout of the crankshaft on the central main journal.
  • Maximum runout - 0.03 mm



If the runout is greater than the maximum allowable, replace the crankshaft.

2. Check the ovality and taper of the crankshaft journals.

Measure the diameters of the main and connecting rod journals of the crankshaft in two mutually perpendicular directions.
