Removing
For gasoline engines, the coolant pump is driven by a reinforced V-belt.
Disconnect ground cable (-) from the battery.
Attention: As a result, the records of the on-board computer are erased, in particular, the fault records and the radio code. Before disconnecting the battery, read the contents of the section "Removing and installing the battery".
Remove the pulley bolt on the coolant pump.
Remove reinforced V-belt.
Remove pulley from coolant pump.
1.3L engine up to 7/84 and 1.6L engine: Remove the toothed belt top cover.
Drain the coolant into a container.
Remove the oil gauge and unscrew the oil gauge fitting. Close the hole with a plug.
Unfasten the coolant pump mounting bolts on the cylinder block. Remove pump with gasket.
Attention: Do not allow the toothed belt to come into contact with coolant.
Remove the rest of the gasket with a scraper.
Installation
Replace gasket. Do not use additional sealant. Rinse and dry the mating surfaces.
Install the coolant pump, secure it with bolts. The tightening forces are barely blowing: engine with a working volume of 1.3 liters from 6/64 of release - all bolts 9 Nm; 1.3 l engine up to 7/84 of manufacture and 1.6 l engine - long bolts 15 Nm, short bolts - 9 Nm.
Check if the pump shaft rotates freely.
Remove the plug and insert the oil gauge fitting. Tighten the oil indicator fitting to 9 Nm. Insert oil gauge.
Put on the V-belt.
Connect ground cable (-) battery.
Set the time on the clock, if any. Enter the security code into the radio.
After a test drive, check the cooling system for leaks.
