- a) Using a jack, raise the vehicle so that all four wheels can rotate,
- b) Apply the parking brake and start the engine.
- c) Engage the center differential lock.
- d) Press the clutch pedal and engage second gear.
- d) With the engine idling, slowly disengage the clutch and check that the engine has stalled.
- c) With the parking brake applied and the engine running, disengage the center differential lock.
- g) Press the clutch pedal and engage second gear.
- h) With the engine idling, slowly disengage the clutch and check that the front wheels are turning.
Note: This check should be performed with the engine idling.
2. Checking the operation of the center differential lock indicator.
- a) Turn on the ignition.
- b) When engaging and disengaging the center differential lock, make sure that the indicator lights up and goes out accordingly.
