Front suspension - independent type «McPherson». It is characterized by compactness, low weight and greater installation height, and by increasing the distance between the supports, structural stresses in the suspension elements are reduced. One of the main advantages of this type of suspension is its relative insensitivity to mounting tolerances.
The main element of the suspension is the suspension strut, which combines the functions of guiding and damping suspension devices.
The upper part of the front suspension strut is attached to the car body, and the lower part is connected to the steering knuckle. The steering knuckle is attached through a ball joint to the front lower control arm. A caliper and a brake disc with a hub are attached to the steering knuckle.
The front anti-roll bar reduces body roll and also affects the vehicle's handling characteristics.
The rear suspension consists of a trailing arm, upper and lower wishbones, a coil spring and a shock absorber on each side of the vehicle. On cars produced since 2001, a rear anti-roll bar is installed.
Attention! It is strictly forbidden to carry out welding and straightening work on the suspension elements. Be sure to replace all self-locking nuts and bolts that show signs of corrosion.
