1. Due attention should be paid to replacing wheel rims. Make sure that rims with the same load capacity, diameter, rim width and offset are installed.

2. Incorrect selection of wheels and tires can adversely affect handling, wheel and bearing life, brake cooling, speedometer/odometer accuracy, braking distance, headlight direction, bumper height, ground clearance, and tire-to-body clearance.

Depending on the type of tires, the following disks are installed, indicated in the table "Correspondence of tire sizes with wheel disk parameters". As an example, possible markings are given:

5Jx14H4 ET40 PCD100 DIA54

In the wheel disk marking, the first digit "5" denotes the rim width (H), expressed either in millimeters or inches. The letters "J" denote the rim shape. The subsequent number "14" denotes the wheel disk seat diameter (D) in inches, which must match the seat diameter of the tire being installed. The number "40" after the letters ET denotes the disk offset (ET) in millimeters. The marking also contains the following designations: "H4" denotes the presence of five holes for mounting bolts or studs, the numbers after the designation "DIA" are the diameter of the central hole, "PCD" is the diameter of the holes for mounting bolts or studs.
