1. Remove the timing belt and crankshaft drive sprocket.



2. Determine the depth of pressing the oil seal, then cut the edge of the oil seal (1 - cut part) and carefully remove the oil seal from the oil pump housing, prying it with a screwdriver wrapped in tape.

3. Clean the seal bore and lightly lubricate the outer surface and working lips of the new seal with engine oil.



4. Carefully, without distorting, press the new seal into place using a mandrel with a diameter slightly smaller than the seal diameter. The pressing depth is determined by the applied mark. After installation, make sure that the edges of the seal are not bent.

5. Install the remaining parts in the reverse order. On 3.4L engines, take care not to damage the crankshaft speed sensor insert on the drive sprocket.
