Attention! If the manifold is disconnected only to remove the cylinder head, then unscrew the bolts and take it to the side without disconnecting the hoses and wires. The procedure for removing the manifold from the engine as a separate part is described below.
1. Disconnect the battery from the ground.
2. Drain the coolant.
3. Remove the air filter (see subsection 5.8), damper body (see subsection 5.11), injectors (see subsection 5.11.4) and equalization chamber (see subsection 5.11.5).
4. Label and disconnect the remaining hoses, wires and brackets from the manifold.
5. Loosen nuts and bolts evenly (left - manifold bolts 3.0 l, right - manifold bolts 3.4 l) and remove the manifold. The fasteners should be unscrewed starting from the periphery and moving towards the center.
6. Clean the split planes on the manifold and cylinder head with solvent.
7. Install new gaskets, install the manifold without disturbing the gaskets, tighten the bolts and nuts. Tighten the bolts and nuts evenly, moving from the central part to the periphery.
8. Finally tighten the bolts and nuts to the specified torque, moving from the central part to the periphery.
9. Install the rest of the parts in reverse order.
10. Start the engine and check for coolant leaks and vacuum connections.
