Removal the vacuum pump
1. Disconnect the vacuum hoses.
2. Remove the oil drain hose.
3. Loosen the pump mounting bolts.
- a) Unscrew the three mounting bolts.
- b) Remove the pump.
- c) Remove the O-ring.
Checking the vacuum pump
1. Check the blades for wear and damage.
- Minimum length 22.98 mm
- Minimum height 13.3 mm
- Minimum thickness 5.95 mm
2. Using a micrometer, measure the length, height and thickness of the blades.
3. Checking the control valve.
- a) Check that air flows freely from the vacuum hose fitting side through the valve.
- b) Check that the air flows in the opposite direction.
Installing a vacuum pump
1. Install a new O-ring into the groove.

2. Install the pump on the generator and tighten the three mounting bolts. Tightening torque 7.8 Nm.
3. Install the oil drain hose.
4. Connect the vacuum hoses.
5. Check the operation of the pump.
