Vacuum pump: 1 - vacuum hose, 2 - vacuum pump, 3 - gasket, 4 - plug, 5 - lower engine protection
Removal the vacuum pump
1. Remove the lower engine guard.
2. Remove the plug from the timing belt protective cover No.2.
3. Install the camshaft pulley with the mark facing down.
4. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the vacuum pump.
5. Remove the vacuum pump.
- a) Unscrew the 4 mounting bolts.
- b) Remove the pump and gasket.
Installing a vacuum pump
1. Make sure the camshaft lobe is at bottom dead center.
2. Install the vacuum pump with a new gasket. Tightening torque 19 Nm.
3. Connect the vacuum hose to the vacuum pump.
4. Install the plug on the timing belt protective cover No.2.
5. Install the lower engine guard.
