Vacuum pump (LJ models). 1 - front cover, 2 - rotor shaft, 3 - check valve, 4 - fitting, 5 - gaskets, 6 - gasket, 7 - O-ring, 8 - generator, 9 - rear cover, 10 - blades, 11 - rotor, 12 - pump body, 13 - oil seal, 14 - washer, 15 - bearing, 16 - pulley.




Vacuum pump (LJ models). 1 - front cover, 2 - rotor shaft, 3 - check valve, 4 - fitting, 5 - gaskets, 6 - gasket, 7 - O-ring, 8 - generator, 9 - rear cover, 10 - blades, 11 - rotor, 12 - pump body, 13 - oil seal, 14 - washer, 15 - bearing, 16 - pulley.


Removal and installation (LJ models)



1. Disconnect the two vacuum hoses.

2. Disconnect the oil outlet hose and oil inlet pipe.





3. Unscrew the four bolts and remove the generator assembly with the vacuum pump.



4. Remove the four bolts and vacuum pump from the generator.



5. Install the vacuum pump in the reverse order of removal. After installing the generator assembly with the vacuum pump, move the generator, adjust the drive belt tension and tighten the adjusting bolt.





Removal and installation (kZJ models)



1. Loosen three bolts and remove the lower engine protection cover.



2. Using pliers, disconnect the two hoses from the vacuum pump.



3. Unscrew the two mounting bolts and remove the pump from the engine.

4. Remove the two O-rings.



5. Install new O-rings on the vacuum pump.



6. Place the vacuum pump in place, install and tighten the two bolts.

Tightening torque - 21 Nm

7. Using pliers, install the vacuum hoses into place.

8. Install the lower engine guard cover and tighten the three mounting bolts.
