Removal and installation of the gearbox C50 and C52 (continuation): 1 - right drive shaft, 2 - rear engine mount bracket, 3 - left drive shaft, 4 - rear engine mount, 5 - engine guard (left-hand side), 6 - protection of the beam of the central support of the engine mount, 7 - beam of the central support of the engine mount, 8 - air conditioning tube, 9 - engine protection casing (Right side), 10 - muffler exhaust pipe, 11 - bracket, 12 - front engine mount bracket, 13 - front engine mount
When removing and installing the gearbox, follow the figure "Removal and installation of a transmission".
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Disconnect the positive terminal, remove the battery and the #2 fuse box.
3. Remove the air filter.
4. Disconnect a socket of the switch of lanterns of a backing.
6. Remove the tube clamp and clutch slave cylinder.
Note: Do not disconnect the hydraulic clutch tube.
- A) Remove the two bolts and remove the clutch slave cylinder.
- b) Remove the clutch pipe clamp.
7. Disconnect control cables:
- A) Remove pins and washers.
- b) Remove the cable holders.
- V) Disconnect the control cables from the gearbox housing.
8. Disconnect the speed sensor connector.
9. Turn away the top bolt of fastening of a starter. Remove the two upper gearbox mounting bolts.
10. Jack up the car, place it on stands and remove the front wheels.
11. Remove the motor protection cover.
12. Drain the gearbox oil.
13. Remove a reception pipe of the muffler.
- A) Disconnect the oxygen sensor connector.
- b) Loosen the two intake pipe mounting bolts.
- V) Turn away four bolts, nuts and remove a reception pipe.
14. Remove drive shafts.
15. Remove the beam of the central support of the engine mount
- A) Jack up the gearbox and engine.
Note: Place a block of wood between the jack and the engine.
- b) Unscrew the two bolts and remove the protection of the beam of the central support of the engine mount.
- A) Remove two plugs and unscrew three bolts.
- G) Remove the plug and unscrew the rear engine mount bolt.
- d) Turn away a bolt and disconnect a collar of a tube of the conditioner.
- e) Turn away four bolts and remove a beam of the central support of fastening of the engine.
16. Remove five bolts and remove the bracket.
17, Remove the starter.
- A) Disconnect the connector and wire from the starter.
- b) Loosen the lower mounting bolt and remove the starter.
18. Disconnect the rear engine mount.
- A) Loosen the rear support bolt.
- b) Remove the two plugs, unscrew the nuts and bolt.
19. Disconnect the left support of the engine.
- A) Remove the left engine mount bracket.
- b) Turn away two bolts, nuts and disconnect the left support of the engine.
20. Remove the rear engine mount bracket. Lower the left side of the engine and remove the three bracket bolts.
21. Remove a transmission.
- A) Turn away bolts of fastening of a transmission.
- b) Remove the gearbox from the engine.
