- a) Install the center support bearing on the front propeller shaft as shown in the figure.

- b) Install the plate washer onto the front propeller shaft.
- c) Align the timing marks on the rear flange and front propeller shaft and install the flange.
- d) Place the front flange in a vice, install the bearing in place, securing it with a new nut and washer. Tightening torque 181 Nm.
- d) Loosen the nut.
- e) Tighten the nut again. Tightening torque 69 Nm.
- g) Using a hammer and chisel, lock the nut.
2. Install the coupling.
- a) Align the timing marks and connect the front and rear propeller shafts.
- b) Press the coupling sleeve, having first installed 3 plate washers and tightened 6 mounting bolts.
Caution: Tighten the bolts evenly to avoid damaging the flange.
- c) Remove 6 bolts and 3 washers and separate the rear flange of the propeller shaft from the coupling.
3. Check the coupling for damage.
4. Connect the front and rear propeller shafts, install 3 plate washers and use a socket wrench to pre-tighten the 6 mounting bolts.
Caution: To avoid damaging the coupling seal, place a rag in the location indicated by the arrows in the figure.
