Removal
1. Lock the rear steering gear in neutral position.
a) Set the steering wheel in the direction of travel straight ahead.
b) Using a hex key, unscrew the technological plug of the rear steering gear housing.
c) Install the lock bolt into the steering gear housing.
Caution: Do not turn the steering wheel until the rear steering gear is unlocked.
2/ Remove the front propeller shaft.
a) Loosen the bolt securing the front propeller shaft to the rear steering gear drive shaft.
- Tightening torque - 36 Nm
b) Loosen the coupling tie bolts No.2.
c) Remove the front propeller shaft.
Steering gear cardan shaft (4WS).
1 - front steering gear propeller shaft,
2 - intermediate support,
3 - rear cardan shaft of the steering gear,
4, 6 - anther,
5, 7 - clamp,
8 - coupling No.2 for fastening the front propeller shaft.
