In models with the "KEY FREE" system, the key set includes a key card.
When the driver with the key card is behind the wheel of the car, the engine immobilizer system recognizes the card signal and allows the engine to be started by turning the switch, without using the ignition key.
There are four fixed positions of the key in the ignition switch:
- LOCK: In this position, the key can be inserted or removed from the ignition switch. When the key is removed, the steering wheel is locked.
- ACC: In this position, you can use the following electrical devices: radio, cigarette lighter, control the side mirrors, etc.
- ON: In this position, the engine runs. When the engine starts, the indicators of various vehicle systems light up.
- START: This position starts the engine.
