Note: The VSC system is only activated after the vehicle has reached a speed above 15 km/h.
2. The slip and DVS indicators come on for a few seconds after the ignition is turned on and then go off. If the rear wheels begin to spin while driving, the slip indicator flashes and a warning chime sounds. Also, a warning signal sounds when the VSC system is faulty.
3. Setting up the VSC system.
After disconnecting the wires from the battery terminals, an initial setup of the VSC system is required (this is indicated by the VSC system indicator on the instrument cluster). Set up the VSC system in the following way (the VSC indicator should turn off).
A) Set the parking brake and move the automatic transmission selector to the position "R".
b) Turn the ignition key to the position "ON".
V) If, after transferring the automatic transmission selector to the position "R" 15 seconds have elapsed, the VSC indicator will turn off. If, after turning the key in the ignition switch to the position "ON" the vehicle has lurched or moved, it will take longer for the VSC indicator to turn off.
If after one minute the VSC indicator does not go out, turn off the engine and try the same operations again, starting from step (2).
4. In the following situations, there is a possibility of a malfunction of the VSC system, as a result of which you should immediately contact your dealer of the company "TOYOTA":
- if the VSC system indicator does not light up when the ignition is turned on;
- if the VSC system indicator stays on.
Except for the situation with the disconnection of wires from the battery terminals. It is also worth considering that even if the VSC system indicator is on (VSC not working), it does not interfere with normal driving.
