No need to press when switching to the latch
Position "R"
It is selected when the car is parked for a long time. In this position of the selector in the box, all controls are turned off, and its output shaft is blocked; vehicle movement is not possible.
To move the selector to position "R" it is necessary to stop the car and, pressing the brake pedal, move the selector. Moving the lever to position "R" while driving will damage the transmission.
Position "R"
To move the selector to position "R" you need to stop the car. pressing the brake pedal, move the selector.
Position "N"
Corresponds to neutral. In the gearbox, all controls are turned off, which ensures that there is no rigid kinematic connection between its input and output shafts of the automatic transmission selector.
In this case, the output shaft blocking mechanism is disabled, i.e. the car can move freely.
It is not recommended to move the range select lever to the position "N" while coasting (by inertia). Never turn off the ignition when driving downhill. This practice is dangerous because it could cause you to lose control of the vehicle.
Position "D4"
It provides automatic shifting from first to fourth gear. In normal driving conditions, it is recommended to use it.
To switch the selector to position "D" out of position "R" it is necessary to press the brake pedal and the lock, and then move the selector.
Position "3"
Driving is allowed only in first and second gears. Recommended for use, for example, on winding mountain roads. Switching to third and fourth gears is prohibited. In this range, the engine braking mode is effectively used.
Position "2"
Driving is allowed only in first gear. This range allows maximum implementation of the engine braking mode. It is recommended when driving on steep descents, climbs and off-road.
Manual shift mode
The manual shift mode allows you to manually shift gears using the steering wheel paddles when the automatic transmission selector is in the "D4" and the manual override switch is pressed.
When the manual shift mode is selected, the corresponding indicator on the instrument cluster lights up.
Attention: if the indicator starts flashing when you select the manual shift mode or while using this mode, this indicates a malfunction in the system. In this case, turn off the manual shift mode and continue driving in the automatic shift mode for a while. If the indicator continues to flash when the mode is turned back on, contact your dealer.
Gear shift
1. Move the selector to position "D4".
2. Press the manual shift switch.
3. Press the switches on the steering wheel to shift gears. Pressing the switch "UP", on the steering wheel, the gear is upshifted.
Pressing the switch "DOWN", on the steering wheel, downshift occurs.
Note: For safety reasons, there are certain restrictions on the operation of the steering wheel switches, and there are cases when it is not possible to shift into the gear selected by the driver. When switching is not possible, a buzzer sounds to alert the driver.
