a) check for conductivity between terminals 1 and 3 of the relay.
b) check for continuity between terminals 2 and 4 of the relay.
2. Checking the operation of the relay.
a) connect the power supply from the battery to terminals 1(+) and 3(-) of the relay.
b) check for conductivity between terminals 2 and 4 of the relay.
Checking the parking brake
1. Checking the operation of the "Brake" indicator lamp.
a) Disconnect the brake fluid level switch connector. Ground the connector terminal.
b) turn on the ignition: the indicator lamp should light.
If not, remove and check the lamp.
2. Checking the operation of the parking brake switch.
(yY, YH series)
a) Check for continuity between the switch terminals when the parking brake lever is raised.
b) check for continuity between the terminals of the switch with the parking brake lever lowered.
(lY, LH series)
Check the switch circuits according to the table.
If the conductivity of the circuits differs from the specified one, replace the switch.
