Replacing fuses [Toyota Carina T190]

1. Before servicing, turn off the ignition and all electrical devices.

2. Install fuses only with the specified current rating.

Note: Do not use a fuse with a higher amperage rating or any other objects ("bugs") to replace a blown fuse. This may cause more serious damage or a fire.


3. Remove and install the fuse only with a straight movement, without twisting or rocking. Otherwise, the contacts may move too wide and the fuse will not hold in them.

Note: Use a special tool to remove and install the fuse (see picture).




4. If after replacing the fuse it burns out again, check the circuits for open circuits and short circuits.
