Fuses are used to protect electrical appliances and wires from overload. The TOYOTA car uses fuses with knife contacts. Conventional fuses cannot be replaced.

The relays and fuses are located in three mounting blocks located under the trim on the left and right under the front panel and in the engine compartment. The location of the fuses in the blocks depends on the car model. The diagram of their location is shown on the cover of the mounting block and is given in the car's operating manual.

Remove the fuse box cover.

Before replacing a fuse, disconnect the corresponding consumer.

A blown fuse can be identified by its appearance.

Remove the defective fuse. There is a plastic tweezers in the block located in the engine compartment for this purpose.

Install a new fuse of the same amperage.

If after some time the fuse burns out again, the corresponding electrical circuit must be checked.

Never replace a fuse with wire or anything similar, as this may cause serious damage to the electrical circuit.

It is recommended to have a set of spare fuses of different amperage ratings in your vehicle.

The fuse's rated current is indicated on the back of the housing. In addition, the housing is color-coded to indicate a specific current.
