Relays and fuses are located in three mounting blocks located under the upholstery on the left and right under the front panel and in the engine compartment. The location of the fuses in the blocks depends on the car model. The diagram of their location is shown on the cover of the mounting block and is given in the vehicle manual.
Remove the fuse box cover.
Switch off the relevant consumer before replacing a fuse.
A blown fuse can be identified by its appearance.
Remove the defective fuse. For this, there is a plastic tweezer in the block located in the engine compartment.
Install a new fuse with the same amperage.
If the fuse blows again after a while, the corresponding electrical circuit must be checked.
Under no circumstances should the fuse be replaced with wire or the like, as this can cause severe damage to the electrical circuit.
It is recommended to have a set of spare fuses for different amperages in the car.
The rated current of the fuse is indicated on the back of the case. In addition, the case has a color marking corresponding to a certain current strength.
Rated current, A | Color coding |
7,5 | brown |
10 | red |
15 | blue |
20 | grey |
30 | green |
